Shake Shack Expanding to Oakville, Burlington and London as Ontario Growth Continues

ONTARIO — Shake Shack is expanding its presence in Ontario, with three new restaurants planned for Oakville, Burlington and London over the next two years.

The company announced Monday that locations in Oakville and Burlington are expected to open in 2026, followed by a London restaurant in 2027.

The Oakville restaurant is planned for 275 Hays Blvd., while the Burlington location will be at 4511 Dundas Street. In London, Shake Shack plans to open at 3275 Wonderland Road South.

The London location will be different from the chain's other Ontario restaurants.

Shake Shack says the restaurant will feature the first drive thru at one of its Ontario locations, giving customers the option of ordering without going inside.

The company has not announced specific opening dates for any of the three restaurants.

Billy Richmond, business director of Shake Shack Canada, described the three new locations as important steps in the company's Canadian expansion.

Shake Shack growing its Canadian footprint

Shake Shack currently operates several Ontario restaurants, including locations in Toronto, Mississauga and Vaughan, according to the company's location directory. The chain also operates in Calgary.

The Canadian operation was formed in 2023 through a partnership between Osmington Inc. and Harlo Entertainment Inc. Shake Shack Canada says its longer term plans call for at least 35 locations across the country.

The Oakville, Burlington and London openings will continue that expansion, with London becoming the first Ontario market where customers will be able to get their Shake Shack order through a drive thru.
