Caitlin Clark Arrives in Canada for First Time as Toronto Tempo Prepare for Big Night

TORONTO — Caitlin Clark has arrived in Canada as the Indiana Fever prepare to face the Toronto Tempo at Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday night.

The August 18 matchup marks the Fever's first ever visit to Toronto, adding another major moment to the Tempo's inaugural WNBA season. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

Clark was seen getting shots up at Scotiabank Arena ahead of the matchup, as anticipation builds for one of Toronto's most notable home games of the season.

The trip has also given some Fever players their first taste of Canada off the court. In another social media post, Clark and teammates were shown trying Canadian snacks during their visit.

The game itself isn't the only attraction.

The Toronto Tempo are also set to officially reveal their team mascot at Scotiabank Arena, adding another piece to the identity of Canada's first WNBA franchise. The organization previously invited Canadian fans to help shape the mascot's personality and game day experience through its “Mascot Aura Audit.”

Toronto is in its inaugural WNBA season after becoming the league's first franchise located outside the United States.

Between Clark's first trip north of the border, Indiana's first visit to Toronto and the Tempo's mascot reveal, it's shaping up to be another memorable night for women's basketball in Canada.
